Unity

Built a custom runtime viewer that dynamically loads Gaussian Splats directly inside the headset.

Users can select datasets via a spatial UI, and if the splat is a sequence, scrub through frames to inspect temporal changes in real time.

For full environment captures, I implemented a dual viewing system that allows switching between dollhouse mode and immersive VR mode to examine scenes at different spatial scales.

The system was built entirely in Unity. I integrated an open source splat importer and developed a custom playback and control layer on top of it.

Why this matters

Gaussian Splats are powerful but often locked to desktop workflows. This prototype demonstrates how dynamic loading, sequence scrubbing, and spatial interaction can make large scan data explorable inside a headset.

It enables:

• Frame level inspection of temporal splat sequences

• Runtime dataset switching

• Human scale spatial exploration

• Performance monitoring directly in device

The result is a flexible spatial viewer that bridges emerging 3D capture formats with real time immersive inspection.

The 3D scan was prepared and optimized, with isolated sections to support clear exploration of the temple’s interior.

I built a custom tool that enables a layered structural view of the archaeological site at runtime.

Why this matters

It demonstrates how AR and VR can be combined to clearly communicate the layout of large scanned sites. AR is used to place and inspect the full site in context, while VR enables human-scale navigation within the same data, helping teams understand spatial relationships, structure, and scale more intuitively.

In Unity, I used VFX Graph for wind patterns and Shader Graph to drive wildfire spread and smoke behavior.

Why this matters

It provides a shared spatial reference that helps the team better understand wildfire behavior. The prototype explores fire spread, wind influence, and smoke behavior in XR, supporting discussion around scale, direction, interaction, and technical constraints, and helping guide decisions about how a potential demo or product direction could take shape.

A Unity tool built that exposes material parameters through sliders and color pickers, allowing real-time visual tuning with precise color feedback.

Why this matters

It enables precise, repeatable control over material and shading parameters, allowing teams to dial in exact hexadecimal color values for consistent shader styling and branding. This makes it easier to align the visual look of objects across the application while iterating quickly and with confidence.

From a clean, engine-ready hierarchy, the Unity tool spreads turbine parts using adjustable distance and direction parameters.
